This happened to me. Some city workers dumped a ton of white paint in the water, but it didn't dilute enough, so when I drove over the water (no choice) it got all over my car, the undercarriage, doors, etc. It cost me $250 to get a local car wash to get that shit off.

Thank you city of Fremont, ca. Assholes.

When she said she knew how to burn an ISO on a CD because she has two masters degrees, and then sent me an IM two hours later to tell me that I'm not helping her out and that her productivity was affected by it.

Still, that was a small infraction. There is absolutely no way I will let anyone crawl under my skin to make me hate them that much. They are not worth it.

I use zmanda (*nix and M$) only for the sensitive data. Everything else, I bootstrap from scratch when there is a failure. Seems much easier than to try to recover something that's already broken.

Sure, if you're happy running a SaaS infrastructure for the rest of your life, but if you want to rise through the ranks, then your academic credentials will be put in question.

I have 12 years of experience. I've setup three data center environments serving well over millions of customers. I ran my own web hosting shop for seven years, but when I interviewed for a director of operations position with my former employer, they preferred the PhD over despite not having the level of experience I had.

So, let's not measure success based on how much money you're making in you twenties. Let's measure success based on how far you go without the degree, and where you end up in forties.

In comparison, in Hawaii, the guys that pick coffee beans off the tree get paid $17 per hour. I'm inclined to agree with you, this is what's wrong with IT and most employers take advantage of the situation.

This stems from the fact that most geeks don't know how to stand up for themselves, and they really don't have a leg to stand up on since there is an over abundance of "highly skilled" technical guys out there.

Add an include Include [PATH]/*.conf

That way, you don't have to mess around with the main vhost configuration, just write a new file with the additional directives.
