Good news for SAP HANA developers: free is a four letter word by Iam_alwaysRIGHTin SAP

That's pretty sweet. I think HANA is a smart move and opening the developers licenses was even smarter.

I'm trying to learn more about SAP ERP and SAP Business One (I'm currently a Dynamics GP admin). by MasterClownin SAP

[–]CuseTown/r/SAP 1 point2 points ago

Your question/s have many lengthy answers. But I'll do my best. when looking at SAP realize the TCO of maintaining the system. If you are a small sub group of a larger corporate structure there will likely be many legacy systems to roll into the B1 instance or up to the ECC SAP landscape of corporate. Things to think about, you will not just simply cut over to SAP, this takes at least a year and anywhere from a few good consultants to a small army. B1 and SAP are amazing tools with a strong future so ROI over 5-10 years is favorable. GP is similar to B1 so cut over training is not as bad as you think.

I myself have a Java .NET background from my university but ABAP is just another COBOL ish language. I won't go deep into ABAP/4 but its the primary syntax of SAP. newer features are possible in JAVA and you can install a Java stack in SAP. As far as what can SAP do? fuck man, it can run oil rigs, banks, car factories, charity orgs, just about anything you can think of.

I would suggest you start reading business cases and call an SAP rep to come in and discuss options. Of course we are SAP bias here but that's only because its our career!

If Reddit raises enough bribe money, do you have the power and connects to get the Kardashians off TV?

Our CIO went because we are so deep in IT3 testing none of the functional teams could go. I asked him how it was and he said he played a lot of golf. I was rather upset he didn't bring anything back for his 100+ member SAP team

The cluster is large and since this is a business critical function we are hand coding the error handling in the water file of the web component. is there customization features to handle errors? or should I continue to handle them in SAP and the water file?

I built the web service in SAP as a REST instead of the WSDL for pure simplicity of the protocol. Since corporate will pay for anything, is there one model you prefer over others?

Interview with SAP for a marketing intern position, need advice by DatWatSheSedin SAP

[–]CuseTown/r/SAP 0 points1 point ago

Well fist and foremost always know the company and its emerging markets before any interview. SAP is moving towards cloud / Mobile and HANA. Other than that marketing is marketing, regardless of the product. You have a great opportunity if you get an internship at SAP.
