The best possible itemization for Azurewraith puts it at 722.2 DPS. As I am posting this, there are 8 1h swords on the AH that have better DPS than the perfect roll for Azurewraith - one of them by an order of magnitude (1027.2 DPS).

Blizzard posts the stat ranges for all legendary and set items on their website. The people who originated this argument calculated the top DPS of a perfectly rolled Azurewraith to a blue on the AH and found it 200 DPS short. I'm on my phone atm but I can find the article later where this calculation is done.

Lightning Bola is crazy awesome for locking down single targets at lower difficulties (not sure how stuns scale into endgame), especially with high attack speed.

It's not super difficult to learn. There are a few really good holy pallies in this guild that you can talk to and learn about it.

If it's about getting a raid spot, if you say "I am learning holy but will commit to it 100% to get a spot", you will have a spot in short order if you ask people to gear you up for a couple weeks. Healers are really, really, really scarce right now because everyone who can carry derpy DPS is long since burnt out.
