10K machines nat'ed behind just one IP are distributing dos conditions amonst the group to overwhelm battle.net (eg logging in and/or creating connections in a small amount of time). This isn't bandwidth related like most people typically relate the word DDOS to. You don't need multiple IPs to perform it, but you do need multiple machines.

Personally, I wouldn't reimage my machine unless I had some sort of evidence it was compromised. - From what you've shared, I'd say it's just the Gmail password. Change it. But I'd still be paranoid too, and end up running all my Windows security tools (I use HiJackthis, Spybot SD, MalwareBytes, and MSE). Then I'd check my IPS logs and also run Nessus against it just because I can (I wouldn't install Nessus just for this tho, I already have it). Finally, I'd check my Gmail account filters and rules for shenanigans.

He was on the receiving end of Reddit's pitchforks a while back for banning someone on TL I think. I want to say it had something to do with streaming the GSL over twitch but my Google-fu is failing me. Man I wish I could remember (or find) the details, but I know alot of hate spawned from that fiasco. As for me, I've always liked him thanks to his NASL casting. I personally feel he is one of the best casters out there.
