Forget tuition fees: If anything calls for a riot, it’s Harper’s stealth governance by arabacuspulpin canada

[–]PasswordIsntHAMSTERStudent 0 points1 point ago

Too bad they are distracted by an annual $400 raise in tuition, which they could have easily earned by now picking up another part time job instead of burning their city every night.

  1. The hike is $1778/year.

  2. The protest is now about more than just the hike - we have our very own PATRIOT act to combat.

  3. This is something a lot of Québécois care about, I'd appreciate if you didn't just bash it casually.

What I find ironic, is that the youth of Quebec, who are some of Harper's biggest opponents, are actually helping deflect attention away from the democratic joke that is this omnibus bill.

Yeah, and it's so sad that Libya is deflecting western attention from the rest of the western world, right? This is only happening because we moved our fat asses and worked for what we believe in.

USA had their 9/11, look where it's led them.

I say no tragedy, we do this right now. Our lives won't last forever, and if you want to see change anytime soon you have to start working now.

Except in Quebec, apparently. You guys keep saying we're one country with one culture, fucking act like it.

Also,

Fuck you. It's a bit like if you told Murka "Forget about the Koch Brothers (re: Wisconsin protests): If anything calls for a revolution, it’s Barack Obama's plutocratic politics." We have a lot invested in this, it sounds like it's just a trivial bit of pop/intellectual culture to you.

Montreal police teargas protesters, arrest 69: Some marchers light fires during 26th day of demonstrations by AnonyMouse32in canada

This law applies to ALL protests, putting so many holds and bars in place that if you even try to legally organize a protest, you're making yourself liable for fines going up to $125 000 if there is the slightest amount of violence.

Before the special law, only student protests were systematically illegal. Now they all are, with enormous fines if you're associated in any way with them - even wearing the red square is "potentially illegal" according to our honoured Education Minister.

From 12 to 17, I routinely browsed "CP" websites, really just girls or couples my age doing it in front of a cheap camera/webcam.

Now that I'm 20 I'm not into it anymore, but I tend to think that there's no ethical dilemma to producing your own porn for private use, especially if there's nothing for you on the interwebs.

12 is about right for making out topless, if a bit young. I'm a LOT more concerned about the graphic rap music than the pictures, that shit can corrupt your soul.

Incredibly dark?

If the girl was three years older I'd barely raise an eyebrow.

I mean, don't get me wrong this is bad, but there are darker stories that pop up here nearly every day.
