That guy was all around crazy, from the wiki page:

His suicide note included criticism of the Federal Aviation Administration, the George W. Bush administration, and a call for violent revolt."

I guess I don't really see an clear evidence of him being a tea partier that we've all come to love, minus maybe his hatred of taxes.
